The Golden Nautilus Skeleton Dial presents a warm, sunlit aesthetic with a gold brushed surface and polished beveled edges. The directional brushing catches light across the dial face, creating subtle shifts in tone as the wrist moves. Through the skeleton cutouts, the NH70, NH71, or NH72 movement is visible beneath the golden frame. Designed in-house by Nomods at 30.8 mm, this dial fits Seikonaut and Nautilus-style cases. C3 Super-LumiNova on the hour markers provides reliable low-light readability, and the dial feet are positioned for 3 o’clock crown placement.

Note: This dial is made specifically for the NH72, with dial feet positioned for a direct fit into the movement. When using a grey spacer ring, the dial foot holes may be covered, so a small cutout in the spacer might be required. Feel free to reach out for quick and easy guidance.

Compatibility

Movements: NH70, NH71, and NH72 skeleton movements only. The gold brushed surface frames the cutouts where the skeletonized movement plates and open rotor are visible. Non-skeleton movements like the NH35 or NH36 would display a solid rotor through the openings, which defeats the skeleton concept.

Cases: Fits the Seikonaut Ultra-Thin Nautilus case directly. Also fits the Royal Oak 41 mm case with a spacer ring. The gold finish pairs especially well with the Yellow Gold Seikonaut case for a cohesive warm build.

Hands: Any NH-series hands will fit. Gold hands create a full warm-tone build, while silver hands add a cool contrast that highlights the gold brushing.

Designed by Nomods

The Golden skeleton dial is part of the Nomods color series, designed in-house to offer finishes beyond standard silver and black. The gold tone is achieved through a proprietary coating process over directionally brushed stainless steel, resulting in a warm metallic surface that shifts in intensity depending on the light angle. Unlike flat gold plating, the brushed texture underneath gives the surface visual grain and depth. The polished beveled edges along the cutout borders provide a bright contrast line that frames the exposed movement, adding a layered, finished look that elevates the dial beyond a simple color swap.

Frequently Asked Questions

What movements fit this golden skeleton dial?

The Seiko NH70, NH71, and NH72 skeleton movements. These are the only Seiko NH-family movements with skeletonized plates and an open rotor, which are visible through this dial’s cutouts.

Can I use this dial with an NH35 or NH36?

Not recommended. The NH35 and NH36 have solid rotors and non-skeletonized plates. You would see solid metal through the cutouts rather than the exposed mechanics that the skeleton design is meant to showcase.

Does the gold tone match the Yellow Gold Seikonaut case?

Yes. The golden brushed finish on this dial is developed to harmonize with the Yellow Gold Seikonaut PVD coating. Both share a warm gold hue that pairs naturally for a unified skeleton build.

How is this different from the Gold Index skeleton dial?

The Gold Index dial has polished gold index markers on a minimal frame. This Golden Color dial has a full brushed gold surface with polished beveled edges along the cutouts. The brushed texture gives this version more visual depth and a richer surface appearance than the cleaner, more traditional index style.
