The Gunmetal Royal Oak 37mm Seiko Modding Case started as an experiment in surface treatment. The goal was to take the clean, architectural lines of the Seikoak design and give them a darker, more utilitarian feel — something closer to industrial titanium than luxury steel. It’s built for Seiko modders who lean toward stealthy builds: smoked sapphire, skeleton NH72 movements, and blacked-out chapter rings. Despite the darker tone, it keeps the same crisp geometry and integrated-lug proportions that define the Seiko Royal Oak shape.

Why 37mm Is Perfectly Proportioned

The 37mm case size wasn’t chosen by accident. It’s the point where 28.5mm Seiko dials line up exactly with the rehaut, keeping the dial centered without creating excess gap.
