Complete Your Build

Monochrome silver from case to bracelet — the Petrichor 37mm Silver skeleton is the most understated watch in the Petrichor range. The NH72 automatic movement is visible through both the open skeleton dial and the exhibition caseback, giving you two viewing angles on the same mechanics. A domed sapphire crystal adds optical depth, curving light across the exposed bridges and gears beneath. At 37 mm across and 11.6 mm thick, this is a deliberately slim build — vintage sizing with a modern skeleton heart. Brushed 316L stainless steel, integrated bracelet, 100 m water resistance. Fully assembled.

Designed by Nomods

The Petrichor is a Nomods original design — not a homage to any existing watch. The silver monochrome variant is the purest expression of that design: no two-tone contrast, no color accents, just brushed steel and the raw mechanics of the NH72 movement as the only visual feature on the dial. The domed sapphire crystal was chosen specifically because its curved surface catches and bends light, adding depth to the skeleton dial that a flat crystal cannot replicate. At 37 mm with an 11.6 mm thickness, the Petrichor sits closer to vintage dress watch proportions than most modern skeletons — intentionally designed to wear quietly on the wrist while revealing everything through the glass.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is 37 mm too small for a men’s watch?

37 mm is a classic men’s watch diameter — the same size worn by most dress watches throughout the 20th century. It sits comfortably on wrists from 6 to 7.5 inches. The integrated bracelet and 11.6 mm thickness give the Petrichor more wrist presence than the diameter alone suggests. If you prefer a larger skeleton, the Royal Oak 41mm skeleton range is an alternative.

What is the difference between domed and flat sapphire?

A domed sapphire crystal curves upward from the bezel, creating a magnifying-glass effect that adds optical depth to the skeleton dial beneath. It also catches light from more angles, producing reflections that change as you move your wrist. Flat sapphire is flush with the bezel and offers a cleaner, more utilitarian look. The Petrichor uses domed sapphire because the added depth complements the layered architecture of the NH72 skeleton movement.

Can I swap the movement or dial on the Petrichor?

Yes. The Petrichor accepts any NH-series movement (NH35, NH36, NH72, NH70, NH71) and any 28.5 mm dial. Remove the exhibition caseback, disconnect the crown stem, lift the movement, and swap.
