Complete Your Build

A deep sunburst blue dial with guilloché waffle texture, designed in-house by Nomods for Royal Oak-style Seiko mods. The metallic blue finish shifts between navy and bright cobalt depending on the angle and light, with each square of the waffle pattern catching reflections independently to create depth across the entire dial surface. At 28.5 mm diameter, this dial fits the Royal Oak 37mm V2 and Petrichor 37mm cases directly. Compatible with NH35 and NH36 automatic movements. Applied markers with C3 Super-LumiNova provide reliable legibility in low light.

Movements: NH35 and NH36. These are standard automatic (non-skeleton) movements with a solid rotor. The dial feet are positioned for the 3 o’clock crown. This is a solid dial — it is not designed for skeleton movements like the NH70, NH71, or NH72.

Cases: The 28.5 mm diameter fits the Royal Oak 37mm V2 and Petrichor 37mm cases directly. This dial does not fit 41 mm cases or the Seikonaut, which require 30.8 mm dials.

Movement, hands, case, and tools are not included.

Designed by Nomods

This waffle dial is an original Nomods design, not a third-party sourced component. The guilloché waffle texture is precision-stamped into the brass dial blank before the metallic blue sunburst finish is applied, creating a layered visual effect where the color shifts with wrist movement while the geometric grid remains crisp at every angle. Mass-produced mod dials typically use flat printed textures. Our waffle dials have physical depth in each cell of the pattern, which is what gives them the light play that flat printing cannot replicate. The blue metallic is the most versatile color in the waffle range — it pairs naturally with silver, gunmetal, and black PVD cases.

Frequently Asked Questions

What cases fit this dial?

The 28.5 mm diameter fits the Royal Oak 37mm V2 case and the Petrichor 37mm case. It does not fit the Royal Oak 41mm case or the Seikonaut (Nautilus-style) case, which require a 30.8 mm dial.

What movements are compatible?

This dial is compatible with the Seiko NH35 and NH36 automatic movements. These are solid-rotor, non-skeleton movements. Skeleton movements like the NH70, NH71, and NH72 require a skeleton dial with cutouts to expose the movement.

What is the difference between a waffle dial and a skeleton dial?

A waffle dial is a solid dial with a guilloché texture pattern stamped into the surface — it covers the movement entirely and displays time through printed or applied markers. A skeleton dial has open cutouts that expose the movement underneath, designed for use with skeleton movements like the NH72. Waffle dials pair with NH35/NH36; skeleton dials pair with NH70/NH71/NH72.

Can I use this dial in a Nautilus or Seikonaut case?

No. The Seikonaut (Nautilus-style) case requires a 30.8 mm dial. This waffle dial is 28.5 mm and will not fit. For Nautilus builds, browse our 30.8 mm dials.

A complete watch is fully assembled, regulated, and ready to wear. Parts are individual components — cases, dials, hands, movements — sold to builders who want to assemble their own watch. If you're new to modding, start with a case kit or a complete build.
