A sunburst sector dial with a radial chapter ring pattern, available in blue, black, and green. The sector design divides the dial face into distinct zones with raised radial lines that catch light at different angles, creating a structured, architectural look that stands apart from both plain sunburst and waffle textures. At 28.5 mm diameter, this dial fits the Royal Oak 37mm V2 and Petrichor 37mm cases. Unlike most dials in our range, the sector dial is compatible with every Seiko NH-family movement — NH35, NH36, NH38, NH70, NH71, and NH72 — making it one of the most versatile dial options available. C3 Super-LumiNova on the markers and hands ensures legibility in low light. Choose between blue sunburst, black sunburst, or green sunburst to match your build.

About the Sector Dial

The sector dial is a vintage-inspired design that references the radial chapter ring layouts popular on dress watches from the 1930s and 1940s. Instead of a uniform dial face, the sector pattern divides the surface into radiating segments that create a distinct visual rhythm around the dial. Each segment catches light at a slightly different angle thanks to the sunburst finishing underneath, so the dial appears to shift between light and dark zones as the wrist moves. The three color options — blue, black, and green — each offer a different character: the blue reads as refined and contemporary, the black is classic and versatile, and the green adds a subtle color accent that only reveals itself in direct light.

Frequently Asked Questions

What cases fit this dial?

The 28.5 mm diameter fits the Royal Oak 37mm V2 case and the Petrichor 37mm case directly. It does not fit the Royal Oak 41mm case or the Seikonaut (Nautilus-style) case, which require 30.8 mm dials.

What movements are compatible?

This sector dial fits all Seiko NH-family movements: NH35, NH36, NH38, NH70, NH71, and NH72. It is one of the most universally compatible dials in our range.

What is the difference between a sector dial and a waffle dial?

A sector dial has radial lines that divide the face into pie-shaped segments — a vintage-inspired design from 1930s dress watches. A waffle dial has a guilloché grid pattern of small squares stamped into the surface, inspired by the original Royal Oak. Both are solid dials, but they have very different visual textures.

Can I use this dial in a Nautilus or Seikonaut case?

No. The Seikonaut case requires a 30.8 mm dial. This sector dial is 28.5 mm. For Nautilus-compatible options, see our 30.8 mm dial collection.
