Petrichor 37mm Skeleton – Gold

Regular price€341,95

The 37 mm Petrichor Skeleton draws inspiration from the best of 1970s horology, built around classic proportions and everyday wearability. Its retro-industrial case is paired with a domed sapphire crystal that refines the profile and allows maximum light to reach the NH72 skeleton movement, revealing the mechanics in full view. Finished with a quick-adjustment bracelet, the Petrichor balances transparency, comfort, and function in a purpose-built platform for modern Seiko modding.

Complete Your Build

Full gold — the boldest Petrichor. Every visible surface is finished in gold PVD: case, bracelet, hands, and indexes. The open architecture of the NH72 skeleton movement shines through in warm golden tones, and because the gold PVD and the movement’s natural bridge color share the same metallic family, the entire watch reads as one continuous golden instrument. The domed sapphire crystal bends light across the layered mechanics, adding optical depth that flat crystals cannot match. 37 mm diameter, 11.6 mm thick, 316L stainless steel under the PVD, exhibition caseback, 100 m water resistance. Fully assembled and ready to wear.

Designed by Nomods

The Petrichor is a Nomods original design, and the full gold version is the most visually commanding watch in the 37mm range. Where the Rose Gold variant is softer and more muted, the yellow gold PVD is assertive — it catches light, reflects it, and announces itself on the wrist. The gold coating was selected to harmonize with the NH72’s golden bridge tone, so the skeleton dial and the movement beneath share the same warm metallic character rather than competing. The domed sapphire crystal creates a visible optical layer between you and the movement, giving the skeleton architecture a sense of depth that enhances the gold tones throughout. At 37 mm, it is a compact statement — bold in color but restrained in size.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the full gold compare to the rose gold Petrichor?

The Rose Gold has a softer, pinkish tone that blends subtly with the NH72’s bridge color. This Full Gold version is brighter and more traditional yellow gold — it reflects more light and reads as bolder on the wrist. Both are full-coverage PVD on case, bracelet, hands, and indexes. Rose gold for subtlety, gold for presence.

Is the gold PVD durable for daily wear?

PVD coatings are among the most durable surface treatments available for watches. The gold PVD will not fade from light, water, or sweat exposure. Deep scratches on any coated watch can reveal the silver 316L steel beneath. The Petrichor’s compact 37 mm size reduces the likelihood of impact compared to larger watches. For the most scratch-resistant Petrichor, the uncoated Silver has no coating to wear through.

Can I build my own Petrichor with a gold case?

Yes. The Petrichor Gold case is available separately as an empty case. Add your own NH-series movement, 28.5 mm dial, and hands to build a custom Petrichor. Choose a skeleton dial and NH72 to replicate this watch, or go with a solid dial and NH35 for a different look. Our build guide walks through every step.
