Complete Your Build

All-black stealth Submariner built around a genuine OEM Seiko dial — not an aftermarket replacement. The factory-produced dial gives this build a finishing quality that third-party dials rarely match, with crisp printing, even lume application, and consistent color density across the entire surface. The NH36 movement adds hacking and hand-winding to the standard automatic function. 40 mm case with a ceramic bezel insert, sapphire crystal, and a rubber strap keep everything in the stealth black theme. 100 m water resistance. Currently sold out.

Designed by Nomods

The stealth Submariner was designed as a single-color build where every visible component shares the same black tone. The key differentiator is the OEM Seiko dial — a genuine factory-produced dial sourced directly from Seiko’s supply chain, not a third-party reproduction. OEM dials have tighter printing tolerances, more uniform lume plots, and a depth of color that aftermarket dials struggle to replicate. The ceramic bezel insert resists scratching better than aluminum alternatives, which matters on an all-black build where any mark would break the monochrome effect. The NH36 was chosen over the NH35 for the added hand-winding convenience on a rubber strap — no need to shake the watch to start it after sitting unworn.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does OEM Seiko dial mean?

OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. This dial was produced by Seiko’s own factory for use in their production watches, not by a third-party manufacturer. OEM dials have superior printing quality, more consistent lume application, and the exact color and finish you’d find in a factory Seiko. Most aftermarket mod dials are produced by independent suppliers and can vary in quality.

Why is this on clearance if it has an OEM dial?

This particular build was a limited run that used OEM dials sourced in small quantities. The clearance price helps move remaining inventory, and the unique combination of OEM dial, ceramic bezel, and NH36 movement at this price point is unlikely to be repeated once stock runs out.

Can I swap the OEM dial for a different one?

Yes, but consider keeping it — OEM Seiko dials are difficult to source individually. If you do swap, the case accepts any 28.5 mm dial compatible with NH35 or NH36 movements. Our build guide walks through the full dial swap process.
