Complete Your Build

The Silver Index Royal Oak dial in 28.5 mm — a clean, sunburst-finished skeleton dial designed by Nomods for open-heart and skeleton Seiko builds. The silver index markers frame the movement visible beneath, letting the mechanical architecture of the NH70, NH71, or NH72 become part of the dial’s visual design. At just 0.4 mm thick, the dial sits flush inside the Royal Oak 37mm V2 case and the Petrichor case without any modification. C3 Super-LumiNova applied to each index ensures legibility in low light.

Compatibility

Movements: This dial is designed primarily for skeleton and open-heart movements — the NH70, NH71, and NH72. The open centre of the dial reveals the movement’s bridges, rotor, and balance wheel. Standard movements like the NH35 or NH36 are not compatible because they have a solid dial side with no visible mechanical detail.

Cases: The 28.5 mm diameter fits the Royal Oak 37mm V2 case and the Petrichor case directly. It does not fit the Royal Oak 41mm case or the Seikonaut case — those require a 30.8 mm dial.

What’s Included

  • Silver index skeleton dial (28.5 mm)

Movement, hands, case, and tools are not included.

Designed by Nomods

This dial is an original Nomods design — not a generic aftermarket part. The silver index markers are precisely machined and finished to complement the angular geometry of the Royal Oak case. Each index is individually lumed with C3 Super-LumiNova for consistent glow across all twelve positions. The open architecture of the dial is engineered to frame the NH70/NH72 movement’s bridges and balance wheel as a deliberate visual element rather than simply cutting away material. The result is a dial that integrates with the skeleton movement to create a layered, three-dimensional watch face.

Frequently Asked Questions

What cases fit this dial?

The 28.5 mm diameter fits the Royal Oak 37mm V2 case and the Petrichor case directly. It does not fit the Royal Oak 41mm case or the Seikonaut, which require 30.8 mm dials.

What movements are compatible?

The NH70, NH71, and NH72 skeleton movements. These are the only Seiko movements with an open architecture that makes mechanical detail visible through the dial. Standard movements like the NH35 or NH36 will not work with this dial.

Can I use this dial with an NH35?

No. The NH35 is a standard automatic movement with a solid dial side — there is nothing to see through the open sections of this dial. You need an NH70, NH71, or NH72 skeleton movement, which are designed to be viewed from the dial side.

What is the difference between 28.5 mm and 30.8 mm dials?

28.5 mm dials fit smaller cases like the Royal Oak 37mm V2 and Petrichor. 30.8 mm dials fit larger cases like the Royal Oak 41mm and Seikonaut. The two sizes are not interchangeable. Read our complete dial size guide for details.
