Complete Your Build

The Nautilus Skeleton is a 39.5 mm Seiko mod watch that puts the NH72 movement on full display through a skeleton dial and matching hands developed in-house by Nomods. The case is CNC-machined from 316L stainless steel with sharp brush-to-polish transitions on the bezel and lugs. Paired with a matching Nautilus-style integrated steel bracelet, sapphire crystal, and 100 m water resistance, this watch arrives fully assembled and ready to wear in your chosen finish.

Available in Silver, Black PVD, Gold, and Rose Gold

Jump to: Silver · Black PVD · Gold · Rose Gold

Silver — brushed stainless skeleton with white movement plates

Brushed 316L case with polished bevel transitions; matte skeleton dial bridges in raw nickel finish. The cleanest reading of the Nomods skeleton platform — closest to the unfinished movement aesthetic.

Black PVD — full-coverage matte black skeleton

Black PVD coating across case, bracelet, and dial bridges. Lume indices contrast sharply against the dark movement plates, giving the skeleton a stealth/military read.

Gold — yellow-gold PVD with matching skeleton

Warm yellow-gold PVD on the case and bracelet, paired with gold-toned skeleton bridges for full tonal coherence. The dressiest of the warm finishes.

Rose Gold — pink-gold PVD, warmer dress tone

Soft pink-gold PVD treatment across the case, bracelet, and exposed movement plates — dressier than the yellow gold variant, with a slightly softer wrist read.

Designed by Nomods

The skeleton dial and matching hands were developed in-house. The brushing direction follows the NH72 movement’s bridge angles, creating visual coherence between the dial surface and the exposed mechanics beneath. We use C3 Super-LumiNova applied at 150 microns for over 8 hours of glow — each dial and hand set is individually checked for lume consistency before assembly. The case features deliberate brush-to-polish transitions: brushed tops, polished sides, mirroring the finishing language of high-end integrated-bracelet sports watches.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I swap the dial or hands on this watch?

Yes. The case accepts any 28.5 mm dial compatible with NH72 or NH70 movements. To swap, remove the caseback, disconnect the crown stem, lift the movement, then change the dial and hands using a hand press. Read our complete Seiko mod build guide for step-by-step instructions.

Is this watch waterproof?

It is rated to 100 m water resistance. The crystal gasket and caseback gasket are factory-seated during assembly. We recommend having it pressure-tested by a watchmaker if you plan to swim with it regularly.

What makes this different from building a Nautilus mod from parts?

This watch arrives fully assembled with factory-seated gaskets, quality-checked alignment, and our in-house skeleton dial and hands. Building from individual parts typically costs a few hundred dollars plus tools. This removes the assembly risk — especially around stem cutting and gasket seating, the two most common first-build mistakes. See our Nautilus cost and build guide for a full breakdown.
