Royal Oak 37mm V2 Case – Silver

The Royal Oak 37 mm Case V2 is an optimized design built specifically for Seiko modding. A sapphire crystal with a domed underside lowers the rehaut while maintaining a flat external profile, and a stepped caseback reduces perceived thickness on the wrist. With correct proportions and functional refinement, it stands among the thinnest Seiko modding cases available, remaining true to its inspiration rather than a simple scale copy.

The V2 Ultrathin Silver Royal Oak case in brushed 316L stainless steel — at just 9.95 mm thick with a solid caseback, this is one of the thinnest Royal Oak-style cases available for Seiko modding. The angular octagonal bezel and integrated lugs capture the iconic sports-luxury silhouette at 37 mm diameter with 48 mm lug-to-lug reach. Sapphire crystal with your choice of blue or clear anti-reflective coating, screw-down crown, and 100 m water resistance. Compatible with NH35, NH36, NH38, NH70, NH71, and NH72 movements. Choose between a solid caseback at 9.95 mm or an exhibition caseback at 10.3 mm to display your movement.

Why the V2 Ultrathin

The V2 is the second generation of our Royal Oak 37mm case — redesigned from the ground up to reduce thickness without sacrificing water resistance. At 9.95 mm with a solid caseback, it is one of the slimmest Royal Oak-inspired Seiko mod cases on the market. Most competing cases in this style sit above 11 mm. The angular octagonal geometry follows the proportions of the original Royal Oak — brushed flat surfaces, polished rehaut, and integrated lugs that flow into the bracelet attachment — at a fraction of the price. The silver finish is the most versatile in the lineup: natural 316L steel requires no coating, making it the most scratch-tolerant option available.

Frequently Asked Questions

What movements fit this case?

The Royal Oak 37mm V2 case accepts Seiko NH35, NH36, NH38, NH70, NH71, and NH72 movements. All share the same case fitment and crown position. The 7S26 and 7S36 movements are not compatible due to a different stem specification.

What is the difference between solid and exhibition caseback?

The solid caseback gives the case its thinnest profile at 9.95 mm and provides a clean, sealed back. The exhibition caseback has a sapphire window that lets you see the movement inside, but adds 0.35 mm for a total thickness of 10.3 mm. Both maintain 100 m water resistance.

What dial size fits this case?

28.5 mm dials fit directly. This is the standard Seiko mod dial size used across Royal Oak 37mm, Nautilus, and other 37 mm platforms. Check our Royal Oak parts collection for compatible dials.
