The Seikonaut NH72 brings mechanical transparency to an ultra-thin integrated case. The open-worked NH72 movement is left visible, allowing light to pass through the movement architecture while maintaining a slim, controlled profile on the wrist. Carefully proportioned and thoughtfully assembled, it combines structural clarity with everyday wearability—offering a skeleton Seiko mod that feels deliberate, balanced, and technically resolved.

Rose gold Nautilus with a fully skeletonized NH72 dial and matching integrated bracelet — the warmest finish in the Nautilus bracelet range. The PVD rosegold coating over 316L stainless steel gives the 39.5 mm case a refined, slightly pink-gold tone that sits naturally between the NH72 movement’s golden bridges and a true rose gold. The skeleton dial and hands, developed in-house by Nomods, use brushed textures inspired by Artisans de Genève’s skeletonization work. Sapphire crystal, 100 m water resistance, fully assembled.

Designed by Nomods

The rose gold PVD shade was chosen to sit between the NH72 movement’s natural golden bridge tone and a true pink gold. This means the exposed mechanics and the case share a visual warmth without the color mismatch that most rose gold watches have at this price point. The skeleton dial and hands were developed in-house — the brushing direction follows the movement’s bridge angles, creating visual coherence between the dial surface and the exposed mechanics. PVD coating is applied via Physical Vapor Deposition for durability that outlasts standard plating through daily wear.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the rose gold PVD finish wear off?

PVD coating is significantly more durable than electroplating. With normal daily wear, the rose gold finish holds up well over time. Avoid abrasive surfaces and harsh chemicals. If long-term coating durability is a concern, the natural stainless steel version will not show wear in the same way.

What is the difference between this and the Seikonaut Rosegold?

Both use the NH72 skeleton movement and rose gold PVD finish. This version comes on an integrated Nautilus steel bracelet at 39.5 mm. The Seikonaut Rosegold comes on a rubber strap (green or gray) at 40 mm. Choose the bracelet version for a dressier look, or the strap version for lighter daily wear.

Can I swap the dial or hands?

Yes. The case accepts any 28.5 mm dial compatible with NH72 or NH70 movements. Remove the caseback, disconnect the crown stem, lift the movement, then change the dial and hands using a hand press. Read our complete build guide for step-by-step instructions.
