Royal Oak 37mm Skeleton – Gold

Regular price$320.00
/

The Royal Oak 37 mm NH72 Skeleton is built around a fascination with mechanics and proportion. The open-worked NH72 movement is left fully exposed, allowing the structure and motion to speak for themselves. A sapphire crystal with a flat exterior and domed underside draws light into the movement while keeping the watch slim and well balanced on the wrist. Carefully assembled and refined with intention, it’s a skeleton Seiko mod focused on clarity, restraint, and respect for the craft.

Full gold-tone Royal Oak at 37 mm — the NH72 skeleton movement’s golden bridges align with the PVD gold case and bracelet for a unified warm metallic look from bezel to clasp. The compact 37 mm diameter and 11.2 mm thickness sit close to the wrist, making this the smallest full-gold skeleton build in the Nomods lineup. 316L stainless steel underneath the PVD coating, sapphire crystal front, mineral exhibition caseback, 100 m water resistance. Fully assembled and ready to wear.

Designed by Nomods

We matched the PVD gold shade to the NH72’s natural golden bridge tone — when you look through the skeleton dial, the case, hands, indexes, and movement bridges share the same warm metallic character. Most gold skeleton watches have a visible color gap between case and movement, where the case reads bright yellow-gold and the bridges read warm champagne. This build eliminates that mismatch. The gold PVD is applied via Physical Vapor Deposition for durability that outlasts standard plating.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the gold finish real gold?

No. The case and bracelet are 316L stainless steel with a PVD gold coating. PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is significantly more durable than traditional gold plating — it resists scratches and holds its color through daily wear. The look is gold-tone at an accessible price point.

How does the 37mm Gold compare to the 41mm Gold?

Both use the NH72 skeleton movement and PVD gold finish. The 37mm version has a smaller case diameter and thinner profile (11.2 mm vs ~12 mm), with an integrated bracelet. The 41mm Gold has more wrist presence and uses a different case architecture. Choose 37mm for wrists under 17 cm or a vintage-sized look.

Can I swap parts on this watch?

Yes. The dial, hands, and movement are all swappable. The case accepts any 28.5 mm dial compatible with NH72/NH70 movements. The bracelet is integrated and cannot be swapped for standard straps. See our build guide for step-by-step disassembly instructions.
