The Royal Oak 41 mm case is about proportion and presence. Designed as a larger integrated case for Seiko modding, it keeps the sharp geometry and clean lines of its inspiration while being properly scaled for the wrist. Every surface is finished with purpose, creating a case that feels solid, balanced, and confident—built to be worn, not just looked at.

Gunmetal gray case with silver skeleton hands and indexes — the Royal Oak 41mm Gun Metal is a darker, more industrial alternative to polished steel without going fully black. The gunmetal coating over 316L stainless steel gives the 41 mm octagonal case a matte, tool-watch presence while the silver dial accents maintain legibility against the NH72 skeleton movement’s exposed mechanics. Sapphire crystal, 100 m water resistance, metal bracelet. Fully assembled and ready to wear.

The gunmetal finish sits between the polished silver and full black options — darker than steel but lighter than PVD black. It reads as industrial and modern without the scratch visibility that comes with black coatings. The silver hands and indexes create enough contrast for legibility while staying within the cool-toned palette. We chose gunmetal for modders who want a subdued case that lets the NH72’s golden movement bridges become the primary visual accent.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does gunmetal compare to Black PVD?

Gunmetal is a medium gray with a matte industrial tone. Black PVD is a darker, more opaque coating. Gunmetal hides scratches better than black PVD because the underlying steel is closer in color. If you want fully dark, see the Black PVD Silver. If you want lighter, see the Silver.

Can I swap the dial or hands?

Yes. The case accepts any 30.8 mm dial compatible with NH72, NH70, or NH71 movements. The hands are standard NH-series fitment. Remove the caseback, disconnect the crown stem, lift the movement, then swap. Read our complete build guide for step-by-step instructions.

Can I swap the bracelet for a rubber strap?

Yes. The metal bracelet ships pre-installed, but you can swap it for a Royal Oak 41mm rubber strap in green, blue, white, or black. A green or blue strap pairs particularly well with the neutral gunmetal case.
