The 37 mm Petrichor Skeleton draws inspiration from the best of 1970s horology, built around classic proportions and everyday wearability. Its retro-industrial case is paired with a domed sapphire crystal that refines the profile and allows maximum light to reach the NH72 skeleton movement, revealing the mechanics in full view. Finished with a quick-adjustment bracelet, the Petrichor balances transparency, comfort, and function in a purpose-built platform for modern Seiko modding.

Complete Your Build

Full rose gold from case to bracelet — the Petrichor 37mm Rose Gold is a statement piece built on Nomods’ original Petrichor platform. Every external surface is finished in rose gold PVD: case, bracelet, hands, and indexes. The warm rose gold tone complements the NH72 skeleton movement’s golden bridges, creating a seamless warm palette from the dial surface through to the exposed mechanics visible below and through the exhibition caseback. A domed sapphire crystal adds optical depth, curving light across the layered skeleton architecture. 37 mm diameter, 11.6 mm thick, 316L stainless steel under the PVD, 100 m water resistance. Fully assembled.

Designed by Nomods

The Petrichor is a Nomods original design, and the full rose gold variant was created as the most cohesive warm-tone skeleton in the range. Unlike two-tone versions where the accent color contrasts against a silver or gunmetal case, here the entire watch shares one color family. The rose gold PVD was specifically chosen over yellow gold because the pinkish warmth sits closer to the NH72’s natural bridge tone — the movement and the external hardware blend rather than compete. The domed sapphire crystal adds depth to this monochrome warmth, creating visible separation between the crystal surface and the movement beneath. At 37 mm and 11.6 mm thick, it wears like a warm-toned dress watch — refined, not oversized.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the rose gold and the full gold Petrichor?

The Full Gold has a brighter, yellow-gold PVD that reads bolder and more traditional. This Rose Gold version has a softer, pinkish warmth that sits closer to the NH72’s natural bridge color. Both are full-coverage PVD — case, bracelet, hands, indexes — but the mood is different. Rose gold is more understated; gold is more assertive.

Will the rose gold PVD fade or wear off?

PVD coatings are durable and do not fade from light exposure or water contact. Deep scratches on any coated surface can expose the silver 316L steel beneath, which will be more visible on rose gold than on an uncoated silver watch. The Petrichor’s compact 37 mm diameter helps — smaller cases are less likely to catch desk edges and door frames than larger watches.

Can I swap the skeleton dial for a solid dial?

Yes. The case accepts any 28.5 mm dial and any NH-series movement. You can replace the skeleton with a solid dial and pair it with an NH35 or NH36. The exhibition caseback will still show the movement from behind. For a non-skeleton rose gold option, see the Petrichor Rose Gold Chocolate which pairs a rose gold case with a solid chocolate dial.
